This is what a great collegue of me gave me when I was looking for something we in Holland would call a
"pekelfiets" (your motorbike for the winter-season).
At almost exactly the same time "big M." was also looking for some kind of advertising object for his
new business in computers.
So I came up with a plan... convert the Colt into a "fully prepared" rallycar, incl. sign-writing on
the exterior of the car!
|
First thing to do, of course, was to ditch the interior.
After that we installed a 6-point rollcage, made out off 42mm round tubing. Doing so, we came up with
the challange of getting the cage to run through the dash, and keep the ventilation system fully operational!
In the end we indeed managed to get this done...

For the overall apperance of the final car, I painted the in- and outside of the car (besides, I HATE white cars!!).
Painting the rollcage a different color than the rest of the interior, was an extremely time consuming job... But
it had to be done!
|
With the car completely painted we could get the it to the sign-writer. At the second appointment we made, it even got
some paint applied! Sign-writing was done based on a draft we made.
